Charlie Crossley Cooke founded Opus Energy in 2002 along with ten other current members of the company. The aim of the company is to provide low-cost and reliable sources of energy to UK businesses and public sectors. With numerous years of experience in the energy trading and retail sector, Charlie is currently responsible of the growth, strategic direction and operational management of the company. Prior to Opus Energy, Charlie Crossley Cook set up and ran energy supply businesses in The Netherlands, Spain and the UK. Under Charlie’s guidance, Opus Energy achieved the most prestigious award in the industry, ‘The Independent Energy Supplier of the Year’, while in 2011 earned a place in the Sunday Times Top Track 250, currently placed 56th in the same time table. At present, Opus Energy is one of the fastest growing business energy suppliers, providing gas and electricity to over 160,000 sites in the UK.
